Chung Hung Steel, one of the major carbon steel flat re-rolling mills in Taiwan is going to launch its price policy for December on November 23rd after China Steel Corp. (CSC), the largest carbon steelmaker in Taiwan announced its list prices for next January and February on November 22nd.
Since CSC planned to raise its list prices for next January and February slightly, it's expected that Chung Hung Steel would increase its December list prices slightly accordingly.
Last week, the Chinese steelmakers including Baosteel, Wuhan Iron and Steel Corp. (Wisco) and Ansteel have all announced to hike December domestic prices by RMB50~RMB130/ton averagely.
Industry sources indicated that the Chinese steelmakers' price rise for December would help to stabilize the steel market.
